Welcome to Salati Kids ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Salati Kids is a parental control application designed for Muslim families. The App allows parents to restrict access to selected apps on their child's device until the child has completed their Islamic prayer (Salah).
Key features include:
The App is intended to be installed and configured by a parent or legal guardian on a child's device. It is a tool for building prayer habits and is not a substitute for parental supervision or religious instruction.
To use the App, a parent or legal guardian must create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
The parent creates a child profile within the App, which includes the child's first name, age, and gender. The child links to the parent's account using a 6-digit code generated by the parent. The child does not need to provide an email address or create a separate account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating accounts and profiles. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
An active subscription is required to use Salati Kids. The subscription unlocks all features, including child profiles, AI prayer verification, a parent dashboard with detailed analytics, app blocking, and bedtime lock scheduling. Subscription pricing varies by region and is displayed in your local currency through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Subscription management, including renewals and cancellations, is handled through your respective app store account. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status across platforms.
We do not directly collect or store your payment information. Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as applicable, in accordance with their refund policies.
The App relies on the following third-party services to function:
We are not responsible for the practices or policies of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective terms and privacy policies.
When using the App, you agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you are violating these restrictions.
The App is designed for use by children ages 7 to 18, under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian must create the account, install the App on the child's device, and configure all settings.
Children cannot create accounts on their own. The parent is responsible for all activity on linked child profiles. If we learn that a child under 13 is using the App without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete the associated data.
The prayer verification feature uses Google ML Kit's pose detection to identify key body positions associated with Islamic prayer (standing, bowing, prostration). This analysis happens entirely on your child's device in real time. The AI does not evaluate the spiritual quality of the prayer, nor does it provide religious rulings.
We continuously work to improve the accuracy of prayer detection, but we do not guarantee that the system will correctly identify every prayer session. False positives (accepting non-prayer activity) and false negatives (rejecting valid prayer) may occasionally occur.
The App requires camera access on the child's device solely for the purpose of prayer verification. The following privacy safeguards are in place:
Camera permission can be revoked at any time through the device's system settings, though this will disable the prayer verification feature.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's reliability, accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Specifically, we do not guarantee that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Salati Kids and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages related to missed prayers, incorrect prayer times, failed prayer verification, or inability to access blocked apps.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App. Upon account deletion:
Account deletion is irreversible. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you wish to use the App again after deleting your account, you will need to create a new account.
You may also request account deletion by contacting us at support@salatikids.com.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
For significant changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the revised terms, you should stop using the App and delete your account.
If you have questions or concerns about these Terms of Service, please reach out to us.
